Elisabeth Piskernik, Le Cube – Independent Art Room (Rabat, Morocco)
Elisabeth Piskernik: Director of Le Cube – independent art room that she founded in 2005 to create a platform for contemporary art in Morocco.
Born in Vienna / Austria and graduated in History of Art and Philology of Romance Languages at the University of Vienna, she lives and works in Rabat / Morocco since 2004.
She has established several residency and research programs that accompany emerging artists in the conception and production of their artwork and exhibition.
Since 2005 she has been organizing many artistic projects and exhibitions in Morocco and abroad, such as the bilateral project “Binatna”, the project of residence and research “Attokoussy”, “Interspaces” and the regional research and exhibition project “travelling narratives”, in cooperation with Gabrielle Camuset.
